While NOT a part of The ‘’Arthurian Legend’’ Saga, ‘’Cavall’’ is mentioned in several Period Welsh ‘’Literature Legend’’ Tales, which supported His Tale. According to these works (dating to the 9^th Century AD), ‘’Cavall’’ was the favored Canine of King Arthur. He used Cavall to hunt several mythical Boars (a Royal Hunt), and well as in the Tale of The ‘’Questing Beast’’. Cavall was said to have help Arthur and His Knights rid Wales of a race of Giants which terrorized The Countryside. Some Historians of ‘’Arthur’’ stated He had MANY Hounds, with Cavall being of ‘’Welsh origins’’ and the reason for ‘’His’’ inclusion in  The Welsh Arthurian Stories. Conversely, some cite Cavall was in reality Arthur’s Horse.
