From Greek Mythology, ‘’Cassandra’’ was Daughter of Trojan King Priam and Sister to The Hero Hector. She was ‘’selected’’ by The God Apollo, as His Priestess. Given the ‘’power of foresight’’ – Apollo had intended Her to marry and ‘’sent’’ His choice. Cassandra failed to honor Apollo’s wishes and sought to use Her abilities for Her (and Her Families) own needs. As such, Apollo cursed Cassandra with the accurate ability to foresee ‘’The Future’’, but that NO ONE would believe Her ‘’Visions’’. It is for this reason, the fabled City of Troy fell – when She tried to warn Her Father and Her Brother of impending doom during The Trojan War. Some versions have Cassandra captured and made Wife to King Agamemnon. She was killed (along with The King) by assassins. Other variations have Cassandra further cursed by Apollo to live forever.
