One of Ancient Rome's most enduring Legends – the tale of The Founding of Rome and the Kingship of The Brothers, Romulus and Remus is one, thousands of years old. Most associated with The Etruscan bronze statute of a Female Wolf, suckling two human brothers (aka Romulus and Remus), the story was more oral tradition than written, until around the 8th Century AD – when it would appear. Rome's History is broken into three parts of Antiquity. The Kingdom, Republican and finally – Imperial Eras. After Rome's establishment as a series of combined Tribes within The Tiber River Valley, and their development into A Kingdom, they were ruled by Kings. As the tale goes, a contestment over Rule was leveled by one ''Pretender'' to the Throne. Beaten and having is bloodline killed off, the Pretender's surviving twin Sons, Romulus and Remus- were ''cast out'' and left to die near The Tiber River (''The Wilds''). They were ''discovered'' by a Female Wolf, who suckled them (fed), until they grew to claim their ''right'' over the ruling Dynasty – becoming dual ''Kings''. The ideology in the Legend, is that the Gods ''sent'' The ''She-Wolf'' to care for the Brothers – thus establishing the belief in ''Divine Right'' or that The Rulers of Rome were 'Demi-Gods''.
