Even foreign venues cashed in on the 1950s' ''Creature Feature'' craze with the 1959 Italian film ''Caltiki, The Immortal Monster''. Caltiki is actually a massive unicellular Mass of Bacteria that existed in a Mexican Cave, 1,000 years past. When a Comet came by the Earth (close), the cave was ''dosed'' with radiation and Caltiki ''grew''. The now massive Blob-like lifeform is fologistound and revered by local Mayan Peoples as a God. Caltiki is fed a steady supply of Human victims as a result. With the end of The Mayan Culture, and no food supply, The Blob went dormant (only to be ''revived'' by a nosy archaeologist). To make matters worse, Caltiki has started to reproduce. Escaping, The Mexican Army attacks with flamethrowers (a 1950s Monster Killing requirement), with Caltiki and it's offspring getting roasted. Similar to The US Classic ''The Blob'', ''Caltiki'' is worth watching to see how ''Creature Features'' were enjoyed even outside The US by Fans.
