Another Lovecraftian ''creation'' – ''Byatis'' originated from a Short Story written in 1935 called ''The Shambler from The Stars''. The story was penned by Lovecraft ''student'' and friend, Robert Bloch (in an early writing example). A ''Giant, Toad-like Being with Crab Claws and a single Eye'' – Byatis was ''summoned'' by a foolish Human with access to both The Book of Eibon and The Necronomicron (two grimoire books which feature heavily in HP Lovecraft books). An ''Emissary'' of The Great Old Ones, Byatis ''feeds'' on Humans – by draining them of all fluids, leaving them only as an ''empty bag of flesh and bones''.
