By Crusader1307

These Hindu Demons were given their somewhat "childish" name of "Bugaboo" by 19th Century British soldiers, who learned of their Myths and Legends. The Bugaboo are mentioned in two varieties - one good and one bad. Good Bugaboo are often invoked by Village Shamans to serve as "Guardians" of said Village. They prefer to remain invisible (due to their somewhat disturbing appearance). Bad Bugaboo are sworn enemies of Good ones. They will attack a prosperous Village, in hopes of stealing their "good fortune". Bugaboo (even Good ones), have the bad habit of stealing what they desire. This no doubt contributed with the "stories" of misplacing one's property and never being able to find it again.
