The US State of Alabama is well known for it's Ghost Stories. On such, centers around The City of Mobile and one Church Street Graveyard. The ''burial ground'' is dated to 1819. Since 1898, Church Street has been closed to ''new Tenants''. In a particular corner of The Graveyard is an old Oak Tree. It is called ''Boyington Oak'' with reason. It grows as a ''curse'' by one Mr. Charles Boyington. Mr. Boyington was a gambler who resided in Town around 1834. He encountered an ''old fellow gambler'' who had owed Boyington money. A fight ensued near Church Street Graveyard.

In the morning, the Man's body was found stabbed to death. Whereas the verbal ''fight'' was heard and seen by some, Boyington was arrested as the perpetrator. He attested in Court that while he and the Man exchanged ''heated words'', Boyington left him ''alive''. No one believed him. On his way to The Gallows in 1835, Boyington cried that a ''mighty Oak would grown from his buried body to prove his innocence''. Within 6 months of his burial in the Northwest corner of Church Street, true to his ''curse'' a young Oak began to grow ''over'' Boyington's grave. In years it would totally obscure (destroy) His grave. It still stands today, showing no signs of ''dying'' anytime soon.
