In Hindu (Indian) Culture, a ‘’Boski’’ was the name given to a Witch. As late as the beginning of the 21st Century, Women ‘’thought’’ to be Witches, were persecuted by Villages. Most commonly, Boski were hung by the neck until dead. And while this act is obviously vigilante in nature – few Government investigations were made. As such, Boski superstitions are still very much alive. Boski, as all Hindu ‘’Witches’’, were thought to have their ‘’feet on backwards’’ and use Spells to make themselves ‘’look normal’’ during the day. Although perceived as ‘’Evil’’, some believe Boski are not. In years past, Boski were consulted for herbal remedies when conventional medicine failed.
