According to the Mythology of Pagan Hungary, ''Boldgasszony'' was a Creationist Deity often called The ''Great Mother''. She was seen as responsible for the creation of Female Life and later, as Patron to Women in Childbirth. Later, when Paganism was replaced by widespread Christianity, she was transformed into The Virgin Mary.
