Perhaps a ''Cousin'' of Europe's ''Leprechaun'' as well as ''Elve'' – ''Bohpoli'' were The Native American Choctaw Tribes version. These were said to be ''small and hairy creatures'' who shunned Humans. They were seen to be very lucky and would bring fortune to their captors. As such, The Bohpoli were very hard to capture. Only a Tribal Medicine Man was said to have the skill to do so. As another form of ''self-defense'', The Bohpoli could make themselves invisible, again making it very difficult to overtake them.
