Bogill

 Scottish by creation, The Bogill (or Bogle) is akin to The Boogeyman. Fierce creatures, they resemble Gnomes. They wander the swamps and marshes like to scare humans by their skill at imitating sounds familiar to humans (crying babies, cries for help etc). They draw the unwary into the swamps, were they drown. Sometimes assuming a spirit form , Bogills will attack and disrupt a human house and family (very similar to the Poltergeist theory). Other variations of The Bogill myth, is that they torment children who do not obey their Parents. They are also said to seek justice for tortured spirits who died of an injustice.
