In The American State of Louisiana (US), Voodoo (as we have seen), is still ''found'' in practice by some. When the first ''roots'' of The Folk Magic took hold, ''Blanc Dani'', was an early (and powerful) Loa. Also known as ''Monsieur Danny'' – ''He'' had several forms (and Icons). Blanc Dani was a Patron of Protection against Evil, in particular Snakes and the poison some can impart. When ''He'' was associated with Catholicism, The ''Archangel Michael'' was used as His symbolism. Later, a ''venomous Snake'' was used. If One were struck by such a Reptile, an offering was made to Blanc Dani to ''heal'' the stricken. He was also invoked to ''cause defeat of One's Enemies''.
