Rather ''Ascalapha Odorata'' is a species of Moth (insect) which earned the ''ominous'' Title of ''The Black Witch'', is common to many parts of The Southern United States and into Central America. The dark coloring and appearance of what appears to ''human eyes'' on it's wings, began to lend it's ''dark'' look to many Myths. Some relate to The Moth being a Lost Soul, or One condemned to eternity as The Moth. Other cite extreme ''Bad Luck'', should One land on you, Finally, The Black Witch Moth is associated with a ''confused'' Spirit which assumed the guise of The Moth, who will try to live with you – until it's Spirit can be released, thru Magic.
