Black Shuck

 Yet another Maybe Monster, is The Black Shuck. Reported in Norfolk and Essex, England The Shuck was first reported in 1577. The last known sighting was in 1945. Many felt The Shuck is part of The Church Grim legends. However, The Black Shuck caused so much alarm in the Region was MANY newspapers and broadsides reported the beast. A large dog-like creature, about 200 pounds and 6-feet long, The Black Shuck reportedly had glowing White eyes . It was known to consume several cattle and sheep herds within a week, and was further blamed with the disappearance of several young children. Men armed themselves and formed Night Patrols. Even Royal Troops were dispatched to the Area to search for The Black Shuck. It's unearthly footprints were described by locals as The Devil's Footprints . Never caught, in the 1945 sighting a man was driving his car on the back roads near Essex, when a great Black Dog began to pace his automobile going at 40 miles per hour! When the man turned onto the Main Road, The Dog stopped and went back from down the road it had just traveled.
