''Black Salve'' is a formulation found popular in the 19th Century, as a ''quackery'' remedy for various forms of Skin Cancers. The theory was to place a dab of the Salve onto the affected area and allow it to leech out The Cancer. Unfortunately, The Salve will dissolve healthy tissue and often permanently scar and deform. Made from a variety of ingredients to include – Zinc Chloride, Chapparal and Bloodroot, other components are highly toxic as well. Long since outlawed by conventional Medicine, many still attempt Black Salve as a ''final option'' treatment.
