A Legend of 15th Century Medieval France, The Bigorne were massive Turtle-like Beasts. They were quite ugly creatures. They always appeared as bloated or otherwise well fed. This was because The Bigorne ONLY fed on unscrupulous or errant Husbands. Just how thus situation began or why us unclear. Perhaps it was a curse leveled against a bad Husband by his wronged Wife. The Bigorne were able to communicate in human speech. They claimed to come from an unseen land called Bigornois . They used water (Lakes, Rivers etc), to thus enter the Human World . The Bigorne were often used to scare young men onto become better Suitors and future Husbands.
