While The Entity known as Belial is of Hebrew (Jewish) origin, much has been said of ''His'' origins and eventual evolution into His most commonly mentioned name...The Devil. The name is associated with ''unworthiness'' ans some cite that Belial was a ''Demon'' and not necessarily Lucifer. He does have many of the same traits and as such may have been the genesis for the later Christian version. Generally, Belial took on the main role as ''Master of Hell'' most possibly in the 19th Century AD, when such Poets and Writers as John Milton ''Paradise Lost'' and Robert Browning ''re-imagined'' Belial as Satan.
