According to Islamic Traditions, ''Barzakh'' would be the equivalent to the western Concept of ''Purgatory'' in The Afterlife. In a similar Middle Eastern Belief, Souls of The Unborn also reside in Barzakh. From here, some will be ''lucky'' enough to be ''born'' into those Women deemed ''worthy''. For those Souls who, in Life – do NOT merit ''Paradise'', only their Soul and not ''Spiritual Body'' is separated, with the Soul being banished to Barzakh. Unlike Western Concepts of Purgatory, One is not purged of their past Life's ''slights'' in Barzakh. The ''condition'' is permanent. The Concept is sometimes mistaken for ''Hell'' or ''Damnation'' (which is actually a different ideology in Islam).
