''Baka''

The Baka is from Haiti. Akin to both Zombie and Ghoul - they are horrible humanoid creatures. It is said that when they were "human" The Baka was either a member of a Secret Society or practiced the Dark Arts. This "afterlife" was seen as "divine" punishment. The Baka was forced to eat the flesh of the recently departed. Further, a Baka could not stray from the graveyard they were buried in. One method for ridding one's village of a Baka was to start burying the deceased in new Cemeteries. Without a fresh supply of corpses - the Baka would die. Baka's were not known to attack the living - unless they had no fresh bodies to feed on and the foolish human happened to be lurking in their territory at the time.
