According to both Judaic and Kabbalah teachings – a ''Baal Shem'' was a special Practitioner of ''magical'' Arts, used to heal others, foretell the future and exorcise Demonic influence. The position was seen as ''secret'' and many did not speak of the Baal Shem. Shunned by traditional Rabbi (Priests), The Baal Shem were also responsible for the ''creation'' of the infamous ''Dybbyk Box'' – which was used to ''contain'' an exorcised Spirit. The Shem were also sought out to construct and issue Amulets and related Talisman to ward off Evil.
