An Incan (Mesoamerican) Deity, ''Axomamma'' was (amusingly) – ''Goddess of The Potato''. The Potato was seen as an important food source among The Incans, even revered as a ''Food of The Gods''. It was a staple food source for that Culture, going back to 3,000 BC (Pre-Incan). Axomamma ''gave'' The Potato to The Incans, who in turn, revered it so much, that those malformed such Potatoes were ''worshiped'' and often even buried with The Incan Dead. Each Potato Crop was ''assigned'' a ''Protective Spirit'' by Axomamma, to ensure proper growth and plentiful harvest.
