The mythological Land which is featured prominently in The Arthurian Legend, “Avalon” was where both Excalibur was forged and was also reputedly the location of The Battle of Cammlann (Arthur's ultimate death in Battle). From “Le Morte d'Arthur” to other Medieval Tales, Avalon was seen as an unseen Kingdom, shrouded by mists. Merlin, Court Magician to Arthur knew it well. Even Morgan Le Fey was supposed to have practiced her “Dark Arts” there. Geographically associated with Gastonbury (Somerset, England), the area is stepped in Ancient Dark and Middle Ages settlements and Events. So much so, that the birth of The Arthur Legend was a natural fit for Thomas Malory's Fable of Arthur. Some cite The Lake where The Guardian of Excalibur was rumored to have been located there as well. It's ability to be seen again is related to Ancient spells and incantations that only The Druids (an Ancient Religious Cult), can invoke.
