It was 1953. Much of America and The World was captivated by the growing reports of sightings regarding Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). Hollywood (Films) did not ‘’miss a beat’’. They began to churn out movie after movie of theoretical ‘’invasions’’ by Aliens (mostly from The Planet Mars). These ‘’make believes’’ established the social imagery of ‘’Little Green Men’’ as the primary Alien encounter. But in Atlanta, Georgia (US), several young Men took ‘’Green’’ to a new level. For several weeks prior, many Residents o The City and it’s surrounding Suburbs, have reported ‘’Lights in The Sky’’ or ‘’Flying Saucers’’. Most of these were misidentifications. But around 10pm in August of 1953, Atlanta Police responded to a report of a ‘’Large Ball of Light’’ which ‘’landed on a State Route blacktop’’. Further, when the reported went to investigate, the ‘’body of a small, humanoid being’’ was found (dead). Upon responding to the location – Police were in awe. True to the Call, a large ‘’burn spot’’ was found on the road and indeed – the small body of an ‘’Alien’’ was laying nearby.

The Report made State and National News as proof that Earth was being visited by Alien Life. The body was taken to State Police Laboratories and examined. What was found during examination was anything BUT Alien. It was determined that The ‘’Alien’’ appeared to be a very Terrestrial Simian (Monkey). It had been denuded of all hair. Further, some type of surgical procedure was performed on the face and head to make it ‘’look more bizarre’’. Even the hands and feet were altered. Next came the Detective work (and it took very little time to learn the truth). Police found that (3) Culprits manufactured The ‘’Alien’’ (which they admitted was a dead monkey used at a locale College for dissection. After copious amounts of hair remover and other ‘’procedures’’, they created what was dubbed '‘’The Martian Monkey’'’. The ‘’burn spot’’? nothing more than a blow torch leveled against the asphalt for around an hour. And while no charges were ultimately filed, The ‘’Monkey’’ was preserved in fluid and still rests at The State Police Museum in Georgia.
