Ativaras

 Lithuanian in origin, The Ativaras is a Demon-Spirit that takes the form of a Rooster. It is identified by either a Black or White body. However, the more telling trait is it's fiery tail plumage (literally). It has glowing eyes as well. It can bring both good and back luck to humans who contact it. Once an Ativaras adopts a human family, it will pay for it's keep with gold. Another part of the legend states that one can summon forth a Ativaras by making a pact with The Devil. If granted (at the cost of your soul, of course), you too could be the proud owner of one. It is also said that when they die, they simply become a small spark of fire (until they are reborn into another Hen's egg).
