Also known as The ''Solar'' or ''Sun'' Barge, it was seen in Ancient Egyptian Religion as The “Boat of A Million Years''. The Boat was the primary transportation in The Afterlife for certain Pharaohs. In Mythos, The Boat (known as an Atet), was built by The God Ra for his trip through The Underworld. Ra made 12 such journeys. 12 related Deities provided protection to Ra while he remained in his Atet (never exiting). As such, examples of The Atet were often built (some Models other full-sized) and placed inside a Burial Pyramid – for use by a deceased Pharaoh in his own “Journey” through The Underworld. It was assumed that as Pharaoh, he too would be protected by The 12 Associated Deities. The Atet was often also portrayed on The Walls of many Tombs.
