Aswang

 From The Philippine Islands comes The Aswang. A unique vampiric creature, The Aswang was reported in the 16th Century (to Spanish Authorities). They look very much as a normal human would. They can exist during the daylight hours without difficulties. However, at nighttime (or when hungry), The Aswang assumes it's true part-human part Bat appearance. In this guise, they have long bat-like arms and small legs. Much as a Bat, they use fangs or a proboscises to drain the blood of their prey. If an Aswang married a normal human, their Mate would soon become an Aswang as well (very few of them are able to reproduce). A whip made from a Stingray tail will kill an Aswang. They are repulsed by Crosses, Rosaries and other religious symbols.
