One of the Twelve "Classical" Gods and Goddesses of Mount Olympus (Kingdom of The Gods), Artemis was Goddess of Hunting and Archery. She was also tasked with the protection of all animals, small children and defender of the weak. Artemis was also keeper of female virtue and virginity. So determined, Artemis (and her Army of Nymphs), would violently seek justice against all Men who violated Women. She was also associated with Ferility. Artemis has many associated stories and myths with her abilities. One such more well known, is her so called love, affair with the,Demi-God Orion. Hera (who had her own intentions for him), was so angered that Artemis wanted him (and knowing how strongly she felt about virginity), bewitched Orion into trying to rape Artemis. She promptly killed him with her bow and arrow. When she found out the truth, it initiated a war between the two Goddesses. Later in Roman Mythology, Artemis was renamed Diana.
