''Written'' (or rather compiled) in 1899 by Charles Leland (a Folklorist), ''The Witches Gospel'' (aka ''Aradia'' was a reputed collection of Witchcraft Rituals and Ceremonies practiced by Italian (Tuscany) Witches and Warlocks. Said to have been taken from several Medieval sources (15th and 16th Centuries AD), it took roughly 11 years to translate the work. ''Aradia'' also showed a connection to Wiccan Practices. Disputed by some – who felt Leland ''made up'' The Book, for Arcane Scholars, it is a detailed account of Witchcraft as practiced in Italy, and which spread into Eastern Europe. Leland's work is still mentioned in serious Witchcraft and Sorcery ''studies''.
