Anapao

The Native American Sioux Tribe of The Northern Plains of The United States, assign the name of ‘’Anpao’’ to what They perceive as a ‘’Primordial Spirit’’ (or Creation Being). ‘’She’’ was the personification of the transition from Dawn to Dusk (and the reverse). Often, if a Tribal Member was ill, Medicine Men instructed a relative to ‘’pray’’ to Anpao at Dusk and continue to Dawn. Should She deem the prayers ‘’worthy’’ – The Afflicted was cured.
