 German and Austrian demons from the 11th Century, The Alp is always a male. Tall and foreboding, they are described as great black creatures with enormous bat-like wings. Horned with blood red eyes, they attack their victims in their dreams. Causing bad dreams, The Alp feeds of these. Continued exposure to The Alp will cause depression and death (in which The Alp moves on). The assume human form during the day to serve as their disguise. It was said that their telling feature  was a single uni-brow. Often deployed as a curse, The Alp can similarly be removed by re-cursing someone else. A pregnant woman sleeping in one's house will keep The Alp away.
