In Norse Mythology – The ‘’Alfheimr’’ were a form of ‘’Elf/Fairy’’ Entity. Also known as ‘’Light Elves’’, The Alfheimr were invoked to ‘’bless’’ a Child who had His or Her ‘’first tooth’’. A small ‘’gift’’ was left by The Alfheimr in reward. This belief is seen as a first example of the traditional (later) European ‘’Tooth Fairy’’ Myth. The teeth were highly prized by the Fairies. In later accounts, ‘’Dark’’ versions of The Alfheimr developed, showing them to being rather ‘’combative’’ and ‘’hateful’’ of Humans.
