The Method of ''Truth Verifier'' to ''Aleft'' One was to subject Them to a Cauldron of boiling water. The Accused had their arm forced into the boiling water (up to the elbow). After removal of the scalded limb, it would be tightly bound for three days. After which, the binding would be removed. If at that time they had not properly begun to heal - The Accused was guilty! This was a popular early Middle Ages technique which was originally developed from Ancient Greece and later early Rome. Examples of ''Alefting'' was Persons who may be proposing ''False Witness'', questioning ''Honor'' or ''Purity''.
