From The Inuit (Alaskan Native American) fables, The Akkiyyini were said to be Musician Spirits of dead Drum players (in Life). They return in a skeleton form one a year and continue to play their drums despite their somewhat frightening appearance. It is said it is best to give homage to The Akkiyyini. Angering them (or making fun of their drum playing) will cause them to play their drums so loudly that the vibrations will cause local rivers to shake so violently that anyone one a canoe at the time will drown!
