The Native American Pawnee identified many ''Earth Goddess'' as part of their Mythology and Religious Beliefs. One such, was ''Aitra''. The ''Wife'' of The Creator Being ''Tirawa'', She was the manifestation of Corn (long seen as a life staple food). It was Aitra that gave Corn to The Pawnee. In Ritual and Ceremony, Aitra is portrayed as an Icon made of a Corn Cob, often fashioned into a Female Doll. Some also made rattles from Corn, to represent Her.
