Ahura Mazda

An Ancient Persian Creator Deity – ‘’Ahura Mazda’’  and His Cult can be dated to the 5th Century BC. A God of Protection as well, Ahura Mazda was invoke in the role of ‘’City Protector’’ during War. It was a tradition to place a War Chariot (ritualistic) with pure White Horses, in front of the defending Army. By taking The God into battle, victory was assured. Later, Emperors of The Sassanid Dynasty followed the same tradition as a ceremony coupled with their enthronement.
