 From Aztec myth, The Ahuizotl was as Monkey-like beast that was covered in spikes. This served as his primary defense system. They would roll up into a ball, and could not be hurt. They lived near water and were dangerous to humans. They particularly liked to consume human eyes, lips and ears!
