Aetites

The Mineral (Rock) Class known as an ''Aetites'' was seen as a type of mystical stone among The Ancient Greeks. Also called ''Pregnancy Stones'', these iron based rocks were said to be found inside Eagles. It was thought that these stones aided in The Birds reproduction. Later, the gathering of such stones were used to ease pain in Human pregnancy. Several ''pebbles'' would be placed onto the belly of a Woman in childbirth. The stones supposedly ''stopped'' all pain. Modern Science states that perhaps (originally), Eagles may have consumed the small pebbles as a means of helping them in digestion of food.
