The 2007 American Horror Film ''30 Days of Night'' was based on a 2002 Graphic Novel Series, dealing with ''modern'' Vampires. When developed for Film, it was a quickly popular with many and noted for it's ''extreme graphic nature''. Unlike other Vampire Movies, The ''Clutch'' of Vampires in this offering are ''animalistic and predatory, very much as a Wolf Pack''. In fact, these ''Blood Drinkers'' speak very little ''Human'' language and have their ''own'' (unknown) communication. The Plot centers around Barrow, Alaska (US) – seen as the ''farthest point North'' of The Continental United States. As with most portions of Alaska, ''winter'' exists fairly year round. But in Barrow, due to the yearly planetary axis ''shift'' in relation to The Sun and Earth, The ''Town'' remains in ''twilight darkness'' for roughly 30-Days. This phenomenon is known as ''Polar Night''. While most of The Town are well used to the effect (and often send most of their children and relatives South to The Continental US for the duration), attracts a mysterious Drifter. He causes mayhem and destruction to all forms of communications out of The Town for a specific reason. ''He'' it seems, is the ''advance man'' for a Pack of European Vampires, who scour The World for such Events as Polar Night. They hunt their hapless human prey with great abandon, with The Film full of gory special effects and gallons of the ''good ole Red Stuff''. Actually having a story line and plausible ending, ''30 Days of Night'' would spawn several sequels and Streaming Media prequels. A must see for ''Gore Gore'' Fans.
