What Resolution Do You Play?

Many of us here spend a lot of time playing video games on the computer and so on. I'm just curious to know from this community. What resolution is used the most to game?

1440p

1080p

720p

Usually the highest resolution available, but it varies a lot. Though I still play the disc version of Stronghold and Crusader, so it's 1024x768. But some newer games like War Thunder would be played at 1600x900 res. I honestly don't know how to distinguish those in "p" haha.

Although with old games like Age of Empires 1 and Age of Kings, I play them in whatever resolution I was used to when I had Windows 98 or something along those lines. So I would play them in 640x480 or 800x600 resolution even now.

    • Can't Play Downloaded Maps

      Hello everyone,   I own the GoG-version of Stronghold Warlords and therefor cannot use Steam Workshop. So i was really glad to find this website here recently where i can download custom maps from other people. However, i can't seem to be able to play these Maps once i downloaded them. I copied the extracted map file into the "Maps" folder of the game, but when i click on either "community maps" or "sandbox" ingame, none of the maps i downloaded are displayed.  Can you tell m

      New Years is right around the corner, so I thought that now would be a good time to post this thread. Do you have any New Years resolutions for next year? How have you done on yours from this  (soon to be over) year? For myself, I didn't set any this past year. For the following year, one of my goals is to spend less time browsing forums and social media, and instead, I'd should spend that time looking at and doing more productive stuff.

      How can i read the encrypted code from the cfg file at Documents? I want to change resolution higher than 1024x768 at the 1.1 non hd version Personally i prefer the 1.41 version, but really every pro gamer on GameRanger play 1.1..... I was able to fix the fullscreen by using Nvidia Control Panel, but i have no solution how to make higher resolution. My preffered resolution is 1980x1080.       I have good news! :) One of the original fans of the mod sent the installation file. :) This is where you can download it from, but be aware, it is likely that your antivirus will detect it as a troyan. I believe that this is nothing harmful, and I will try it later.
