Zulu War Axe

Zulu Warriors also used a form of Battle Axe in combat. These weapons were wooden handles around 2.5 to 3 feet in length. They featured a slender, flanged steel Axe Head, which (at it's top), extended above the handle top. This allowed the Axe to also be used as a stabbing weapon in addition to being a cutting one. The War Axe used by the several “All Female” Zulu Regiments, as well.
