The ''Arrowhead'' is a small brass device, used on various US Military Awards (in particular – US Army and Air Force medals and ribbons). The Device was placed into Service usage in 2004. Depending on the Service, The Arrowhead Device denotes either an actual Combat Missio0n in which the Recipient of a particular Medal or Ribbon – has made an Airborne ''jump'', Air Assault (Helicopter) rappel, or Amphibious Landing. The Device must still be officially authorized by The US Department of Defense and particular Service before a Soldier or Airman can wear it. There are currently only (9) Medals and Ribbons in which The Arrowhead can be attached.
