The Mark 90 Nuclear Device was an American Navy ‘’Cold War’’ Era weapon, designed as a Depth Charge. To be used in Anti-Submarine operations, The Mark 90 (nicknamed ‘’Betty’’) was deployed from an aerial platform (plane). First tested in 1952, The Mark 90 was 10-feet in length with a 3-foot diameter. The Device weighed over 1,200-lbs. and was classified with a 32-kiloton munition. The Mark 90 was in active deployment until 1960. Exact numbers produced were never made known.
