The B-90 Nuclear Device was a Project advanced by The Livermore Laboratories for possible use by The US Navy in 1980. The compact design and overall abilities were seen as key to Naval use. The proposed B-90 could have been deployed by Surface Craft or aerial platforms (such as Jets). Weighing just 780-lbs, with an overall length of 15-feet, The Device would have carried a 200-kiloton Nuclear Device. Cost overruns would stall the Project until 1990. By that time however, The Navy had lost interest and the Program was cancelled in 1991.
