11th Century Emperor of The Holy Roman Empire, his sword was a State Sword. Unusual for the fact that it was not a Papal Presentation blade. The blade was constructed similar to the ancient Roman Imperial blades (in design and symbolism). The sword is 34 inches long and is double-edged. It is inlaid with gold filigree, pearls and rubies. The Imperial Eagle is featured prominently. The sword is displayed at The Cathedral of Palermo (Sicily).
