The concept known as ''The Mandate of Heaven'' was an Ancient Chinese system, which was designed to establish ''Divine Right'' for a particular Ruling (Dynastic) House. First proposed and developed (officially) in 1,000 BC, The Mandate stated that The Gods bestowed ''Heavenly Right'' on the enthroned Emperor and His Family. As such, early Kings and later Emperors had complete autonomy in their rule (regardless of if it was a ''just'' or ''cruel'' Reign). Often, the Ruling Class (Males), were addressed (singularly) as ''Sons of Heaven''. The Mandate would actually contine to be observed in part, until the abolishment of The Qing Dynasty in 1912.
