This Document was devised in 1264 A.D. - as England's King Henry III attempt to defuse and end The Baron's War. The conflict was aimed at his “dis-enthronement” by force (enacted by his Baron's for perceived injustices and unfair high taxes). The Dictum stated that The King would take no reprisals against The Baron's (property or Title). In return, The Baron's had to identify the “legitimacy” of Henry's “rule”.
