More of a design innovation rather than a specific weapons type the Sword Breaker was of a standard Straight sword classification. The blade was designed with 2 slots, located at the hilt end of the blade (crafted during the manufacture of the blade). During combat, enemy swords would contact the blade and slide downward - cathing in the slot. With skill and training, the user would "snap" or break the blade. The Sword Breaker was popular during the late-Middle Ages early Renaissance Era.
