Deployed in 1974, the former Soviet Union's RS-36 was a Medium Range Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. Many were placed in Ukraine for defense. The RS-36 was designed for Silo (Ground) Launch capability. Total number produced and those remaining are unknown. The Missile also would serve as the modified platform for The Soviet Space Programs Tsyklon Series of Launch Vehicles. The R-36 is slated to be replaced with The RS-28 Missile. Weighing over 400,000-lbs, The RS-36 is 106-feet long with a diameter of 10-feet. These are Twin Staged, Liquid propelled Systems. Operational ranges start between 1,000 to 5,000-miles. Capable of MRV deployment (5 to 8 Warheads), the average yield is 18-25-MTs each.
