Widely seen and used in Arms (in many Countries), The Sheep was the “backbone” on many Medieval Societies. Food and clothing were derived from the animal. Highly regarded, The Sheep imparted the traits of “Virility”, “Innocence” and “Placidity”. Always portrayed in natural colors, The Sheep is another “crossover” Symbol adopted by Christianity (as a image of Christ). Their use goes back to the 11th Century.
