A Melee weapon designed for 12th Century Russian Peasant soldiers, The Oslop was a hand-held, clubbing weapon. Made from a solid piece of iron, they were a cheap way to arm a conscripted Peasant force for battle. The Oslop required no training to use. Similar to a Swiss Alhspiss, they were often sharpened at one end. Some had "Heads" (also made of iron), attached. It was common to attach a rope or leather strap for carrying. The Oslop were between 4 feet and 5.5 feet long and roughly 5-pounds.
